Five of the seven candidates for Secretary of State here in California appeared together on Adelphia Cable TV in Santa Monica Tuesday, Oct 1, 2002. Gail Lightfoot, Libertarian joined the Democrat, Green, Reform and Republican in a one hour show hosted by Bill Rosendahl to discuss issues related to the Secretary of State's office.
Previously all seven candidates were interviewed for The California Channel. The 15 minute interviews of every statewide candidate are being aired in a rotating schedule on the California Channel throughout the month of Oct. and on to Election Day, Nov. 5, 2002. Adelphia also plans to rerun their live program for viewers not at home for the live broadcast.
"Both Adelphia and the California Channel have gone out of their way to ensure the voters are well informed about each and every candidate on their Nov. 5, 2002 ballot." Lightfoot said.
"This all inclusive without regard to campaign funds or spending is what sets cable TV apart from even the PBS stations in bringing voters information about the candidates in a fair and positive way." Lightfoot enthused.
"Without cable television many otherwise highly qualified candidates would not be known to the voters at all." Lightfoot said. "All of the candidates expressed their appreciation to Adelphia and the California Channel for covering them and their views as candidates."
Lightfoot added, "Remember register now and Vote on Nov. 5, 2002. Vote Libertarian. Vote Lightfoot."
